MIPRONS is developing an innovative space propulsion system based on water electrolysis, offering:

Our system utilizes water as a propellant, split in orbit into H₂ and O₂ thanks to an innovative electrolyzer. These gases are then ignited in a combustion chamber to generate thrust. The compact and powerful design allows installation on microsatellites, large satellites, and launcher kick-stages, enabling fast maneuvers such as orbit raising, de-orbiting, collision avoidance, and attitude control. Faster maneuvering enhances security against space threats and reduces in-orbit positioning times, leading to improved profitability.

Water-based propulsion simplifies system design by eliminating the need for pressurized tanks, security valves, and exotic materials, reducing DUAL USE & ITAR/EAR compliance constraints. It also prevents electromagnetic interference, allowing safer in-orbit servicing and human exploration missions with extended stationing capabilities.
