DIALOGUE: 2023 - The year that China reopened and the real situation on the ground

On March 21st 2023, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore collaborated with Hawksford Singapore Pte Ltd to hold a dialogue telling us more about the current landscape of doing business in China and allowing for the sharing doubts and questions over the direction of individual businesses in that market.

About the Event:

2022 was a challenging year for businesses operating in China. Unexpected lockdowns caused by COVID-19 outbreaks, weak consumption trends, a struggling property sector, and newfound geopolitical tensions caused supply chains disruptions and affected the global business confidence in China. In 2023, the China government proposes a number of measures to ease the zero-COVID policy and to boost the economy. Foreign investors are keen to understand the current changes happening in China's business landscape and anticipate areas of risk in advance and take steps to prepare for the new opportunities.
